Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! We’re very excited that on Saturday, February 4th, our “Ports of Call” Dinner Gala will be taking place here at Our Lady of Sorrows.
It’s not that often we send out an appeal to parents regarding dinner galas because we have tried hard to minimize them to every other year or every third year. We hope to continue this pattern if this gala is as successful as our previous ones. In the past, the dinner galas have helped fund our Mac computer lab, our mobile Mac computer lab, our library renovations, and to update our school resources and equipment. This year, another successful gala, will help purchase a much needed new school bus which will benefit all of our children.
THAT IS WHY we need the help of ALL OF OUR 160 FAMILIES at OUR LADY OF SORROWS.
Here’s what we need you to do:
1. Buy tickets for the dinner gala. Tickets are $75 which will include a fabulous meal and great entertainment.
2. If you can’t attend for some reason, please make any financial contribution you can through your child, by sending in an envelope to the school.
3. Sell as many raffle booklets as you can. There are some great prizes including a cruise and an ipad. Each book brings in $50. (Please note raffle booklets were sent home with the oldest child per family today (Friday, January 13, 2012).
4. Donate prizes or get donations. Each donation will help bring in valuable dollars.
5. Tell your friends and family to come. Spread the word. WE WANT TO SELL OUT!
This will only be a success if everyone participates and so….we are counting on all of you to please count yourself in and do your part!!
