February 2012 Newsletter for 4 year old AM Class

Dear Parents,

    It’s hard to believe that we are approaching February. January was a very busy month. The children had lots of fun talking about the snow and creating wonderful winter art.  As we head into February we will be talking about Valentine’s Day and learning about being a good friend to our classmates. We will be celebrating Valentines Day at school with a party.

 Library Day- Friday February 10

The children will be going to the library for story time.

 Valentines Day Party- Monday February 13

• On Monday February 13 we will be having a Valentine’s Day Party. This day will be a non-uniform day. Please have your child come to school dressed in red, pink or white. Please bring a $2 donation to school on this day.
• If your child would like to handout Valentines Day Cards to their classmates, they are more than welcome to do so.
• If you would like to bring a treat for the party there will be a sign up sheet in the classroom with a list of the things that we need for the party. Please feel free to pair up with another family and sign up for something together.

        Please remember our NO NUTS policy!!

 Professional Day- Friday Feb 17

The school will be closed on this day for the Catholic Educators’ Conference

 Baking Day- Wednesday Feb 22

We will be baking a cake with the children on this day and enjoying it after snack.
